Organic Places looks at the dynamic relationship between identity and environment through the context of Hill House Allotments. The body of work aims to show how people impact space with their identities, creating personal meaning and place. Biographical information about each member narrates their section of the book. Digital portraits document the allotmenteers working on their plot; planting, pruning and personalising. Drone photography gives a unique and uniform viewpoint of each plot. The consistent perspective of the plots is used to show the difference between each allotment as a reflection of their holders. The book highlights the hybridity of place, which results from identities impacting space. There is a quasi-triptych of each member, who are ordered from newest to most senior, highlighting process and growth at Hill House Allotments.
